Shining Star School
Early learning and development for children ages 2-6 — warm mornings, small groups and teaching built around how young children actually learn.
A gentle, purposeful start to school life
Shining Star School was built around a simple belief: the early years are not a waiting room for real school. They are the years when a child learns to talk, to listen, to try again after something goes wrong, and to enjoy being part of a group. Get those right, and everything after them becomes easier.
Our mornings are calm and predictable. Children know what is coming next, which frees them to be curious instead of anxious. Teachers work with small groups so that every child is genuinely known — not just their name, but what makes them laugh, what frustrates them and what they are ready to learn next.
We are equally honest with parents. If your child is doing beautifully, we will tell you. If something concerns us, we will tell you early, kindly and with a plan — and because Eman Clinic is in the same building, help is a corridor away rather than a six-month wait.
Our Programs
Eight strands run through every week. Together they cover what a child under six actually needs: language, movement, thinking, independence and friendship.

Three stages, one continuous journey
Children move up when they are ready, not on a fixed date.
Ages 2 – 3 · Settling
First experience of school. The focus is separation, routine, early language and feeling safe with a new adult.
Ages 3 – 4 · Exploring
Vocabulary grows quickly. Play becomes social, and children start working in small groups.
Ages 4 – 6 · Preparing
Pre-reading, pre-writing and number work, alongside the attention and independence school will ask for.

Why Choose Us?
Child-Centred Learning
We start from where the child is, not from where the syllabus says they should be.
Individual Attention
Small class sizes so every child is known well — their triggers, their strengths, their favourite story.
Learning Through Play
Purposeful play builds language, problem solving and confidence far faster than worksheets do.
Safe & Supportive Environment
Secure premises, calm classrooms, predictable routines and staff trained in early childhood care.
Development-Focused Activities
Every activity maps to a developmental goal, and progress is shared with you regularly.
Therapy On-Site
If your child needs speech, occupational or behaviour support, it happens in the same building.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Classes are deliberately small with a high adult-to-child ratio. Exact numbers depend on the age group — ask us for the current figures when you visit.
That is completely normal at this age, and settling is something we plan for. New children start with shorter, supported sessions and build up as they grow comfortable.
Children bring their own snack. Opening lunch boxes, eating together and tidying up are part of the self-help learning we do every day.
Yes. We welcome children who need extra support, and being able to offer therapy on-site is one of the reasons this school exists. Tell us during admission so we can plan properly from day one.
Please do. Seeing the rooms and meeting the staff tells you far more than any brochure. Call or message us to arrange a convenient time.
