Respect
Every child is a person first. We speak about children the way we would want someone to speak about ours.
A school and a child development centre, built deliberately as one organisation so that families stop having to translate between them.
Shining Star School is an early years school for children aged 2 to 6. Eman Clinic is a child development centre offering behaviour therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, group sessions and remedial learning support.
They exist together because of a problem we watched families struggle with for years. A child would be assessed in one place, taught in another, and nobody quite joined the two. Parents became the messengers, carrying reports between professionals who never met. Progress was slower than it needed to be, and families were exhausted.
Putting a school and a therapy centre under one roof solves that. Teachers and therapists meet. Goals are shared. Advice is consistent. And parents get one conversation instead of five.
Families who need only one of the two are equally welcome — many children attend the school and never need therapy, and many children come to the clinic while attending school elsewhere.
A community where every child — however they learn, move or communicate — has a place to grow, and where no family has to choose between education and the support their child needs.
To provide warm, high-quality early education and evidence-based therapeutic services in one place; to identify needs early; to work in genuine partnership with parents; and to treat every child with the dignity we would want for our own.
Every child is a person first. We speak about children the way we would want someone to speak about ours.
Parents get the real picture — including when the answer is that no therapy is needed.
We use approaches that are supported by evidence and professional training, not by fashion.
Parents are part of the team, not an audience. Goals are agreed together.
Different developmental paths are welcome here. Support is adjusted to the child, not the other way round.
What families share stays private, and nothing is shared with a school or doctor without your consent.
We start by understanding the child in front of us — not a diagnosis, not an age band, and not a comparison with a sibling.
What that actually means on an ordinary Tuesday morning.
The speech therapist's targets appear in the classroom plan — not in a file nobody reads.
A teacher can flag a concern to a therapist the same day, in the same corridor.
Home, class and therapy room use the same words, the same prompts, the same expectations.
Everyone who works with your child reviews progress together, and you sit in that meeting.
Teachers and therapists who are qualified in their own field and comfortable working across all of them.
